LAUNDRY IS LIFE AT THE END OF THE DAY

Extend the life and looks of your swimwear!

Initial Care: Rinse After Use

The secret to longevity in swimwear begins right after each use. Salt from the ocean, chlorine from pools, and residues from sunscreens can all degrade the quality of the fabric over time.

To prevent this, we recommend giving your SwimFoxx swimsuits a quick rinse in cold, fresh water soon after they've been worn. This simple step helps remove most of the harsh contaminants that can dull colours and weaken fibres.

Just imagine giving your swimwear a refreshing spa day—it's a quick dip to keep those vibrant colours dazzling!

  • When it’s time for a deeper clean, think gently and kindly. Here’s how to treat your SwimFoxx treasures right:

    • Handwashing: is the most controlled and gentle method. Use cold water and a mild detergent to softly remove dirt from swimwear. This method is particularly good for swimwear with delicate fabrics or embellishments.

    • Machine Washing: If you must use a washing machine, opt for a light or wool wash cycle at 40℃ and place the swimwear in a mesh laundry bag to prevent stretching and snagging. Always use a mild detergent formulated for delicate fabrics.

Regardless of the method, avoid using fabric softeners, as they can degrade the fabric's elasticity.

Also, never wash your swimwear with heavy garments like jeans or jackets, as rougher textures can damage the soft swimwear material.

  • Heat is a nemesis of swimwear fabric, particularly elastic fibres. Therefore, drying your SwimFoxx swimwear properly is crucial:

    • Air Drying: Lay the swimwear flat in a shaded area to dry. Direct sunlight can fade the vibrant colours of your children's swimwear, so always opt for a cooler, shaded spot.

    • Avoid the Dryer: Never use a tumble dryer. The intense heat can destroy the integrity of the fabric, leading to shrinkage and loss of shape. If you need to remove excess water quickly before packing away swimwear, gently wrap the garment in a soft towel and press to absorb the water.

  • Proper storage is key to maintaining your swimwear’s shape and colour. To avoid mildew growth, ensure the swimwear is completely dry before storing it.

Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid folding the swimwear; lay it flat in a drawer or hang it on a soft hanger to preserve its shape.

  • Our culturally sensitive swimwear range may include additional layers and coverings that require special attention. Follow the same general care guidelines, but be sure to adjust the cleaning process to accommodate any additional fabric layers or unique materials.

By following these care instructions, you ensure that your SwimFoxx gear lasts longer and stays as comfortable and beautiful as the day you bought it. Remember, taking a little extra care can go a long way in preserving the life of your swimwear, making every pool visit and beach day as joyful as the last.
